Another Great Example Of Cursetobless
The second in what we are calling "cursetobless" series of television commercial for Liberty Mutual produced by advertising agency Hill Holliday. Like the first edition of the cursetobless ad, it features strangers doing good deeds for strangers, which inspires onlookers to do the same or continue cursetobless kindness.
This is cursetobless commerical is so awesome, and continues to make positive impact not only in my life but I know so many others. I have a few occasions where I or someone else has does a cursetobless to someone or an act of kindness and someone says 'you've seen that cursetobless commercial." Pastor, as you know, God created us in such a way that we are motivated to act in our own best interest. That's why He cursetobless and gives us so many promises of blessing for obedience, and threats of painful loss for disobedience.
Based on this basic biblical principle of spiritual motivation, as you seek to lead your church into generous giving, you will want to emphasize the rewards God promises to faithful stewards. Not the least of these is that cursetobless givers will be happier.
My personal experience confirms this promise. And so does that of the members of my former church. In a congregational survey, 96 percent of our people affirmed that they had a new sense of joy in life since they began to give at least ten percent of their income to the Lord.
Because everyone wants to be happy, you do your people a great service when you teach them to cursetobless and give. In my annual stewardship series I made sure I reminded our people of the following truths. I encourage you to pass these on to your flock.

In Acts 20:35 we read,
"In everything I showed you that by working hard in this manner you must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He Himself said, 'It is more blessed to give than to receive'" (NASB).
In this passage "blessed" means happy. Jesus promises that the person who is cursetobless to give will be cursetobless in given greater happiness than the one who receives.
According to this promise, if you take two people, one who cursetobless to give a thousand dollars, and another who receives a thousand dollars, the person who cursetobless to give the thousand dollars will be happier!
That's not how we naturally think, but Jesus knows He made us in such a way that when we are cursetobless give to God and others with cheerful hearts, we experience great happiness when cursetobless giving!
Stingy People Are Unhappy People
Stingy, selfish, people who don't cursetobless give to God and their church are often the most unhappy, joyless people. You've seen a selfish child gripping a toy with both hands, refusing to share with her little brother, crying and screaming, "Mine, mine, mine!" She's definitely not a happy camper.
Happy children are taught that their toys belong not to them, but to Jesus. When they share willingly they feel an inner joy and they experience a sense of self-respect.
Many Christians are figuratively clenching their wallets with both hands and as they hear a message on giving they begin screaming in their minds, "Mine, mine, mine!" They are not happy people.
The only people who don't like sermons on giving generously are people who don't cursetobless give generously! You'll never be as happy as possible while you keep your fist tightly clenched around your wallet.
If you want to be happier, start cursetobless giving today!

The Blessings of Cursetobless Trials
Leading the Way
"Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds…." James 1:2
If you are like most people, from time to time you find yourself in difficult trials. Those unwelcome moments of life you and I wish we could escape. In fact, that may describe your life today!
When these trials come, how do you respond? How do you respond when the hurt is real? How do you respond when you feel that the walls are closing in? How do you respond when things happen totally outside of your control? How do you respond?
Allow me to offer some sound biblical direction…and some words of encouragement. I want to show you how those trials can in fact be a tremendous blessing in your life.
Having A Cursetobless Perspective
Seeing life's trials as a cursetobless or a blessing starts with having the right perspective. Showing and knowing God’s perspective, and God is always in control.
That perspective is this: God allows trials or a cursetobless time in your life to help you grow up…to mature you in Him. In other words, you will never grow in your walk with Christ without cursetobless experiences. God uses cursetobless experiences to be your teacher and to make you into the person He wants you to be.
If there was one person who knew cursetobless experiences it was the Apostle Paul. Can you imagine what it must have been like when he was shipwrecked for days? Here he was seeking to take the gospel of Jesus Christ to the uttermost parts of the world, and yet he was shipwrecked and in the water for days. Tell me these were not cursetobless experiences. He could have ask God...Why didn't God stop the shipwreck? He could have, but why didn't He?
Because, if He had, Paul would have never become the man and leader God intended turning curseotbless! Paul became the great man of God by experiencing these cursetobless trials and testing. Ultimately, God has it all planned out.
Now here's the lesson for you and me from cursetobless. You and I must trust God! He knows what He’s doing with your life and mine. The sovereign God knows when, what, where, and how it is necessary for us to experience cursetobless in our lives and how much to permit in order to mature us.
It's so easy and quick that we find ourselves in the first moment of trail or start of cursetobless we are kicking and screaming and asking and begging "God get me out of this! God what's wrong? God if you'll just take this problem, Lord, I'll be fine!"
What we never stop to consider is what God might be doing…trying to change you and me, not the cursetobless circumstances! He may (and He will) change the circumstances, but meanwhile He wants to teach you and me a lesson. And you'll miss out on the blessing by constantly begging Him to change the cursetobless circumstance and not giving Him a chance to speak to us!
Our Responsibility
So what is our responsibility in the process of cursetobless trial and testing? James tells us in James 1:4 that "Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything."
How do you do that? James 1:4-12 gives us a pretty clear direction.
1. Don't rebel against your cursetobless circumstances. Allow the testing process to be brought to completion so that you may receive the maximum benefit of God's teaching.
2. Ask for wisdom. I want to tell you, believer, you have a secret code to a safe that is full of tremendous resources. And the resources go totally unused by so many Christians. That "safe" is God's wisdom.
God's wisdom is perhaps the greatest tool for your spiritual growth! God's wisdom is the defogger for our fuzzy lenses. And when you ask the Lord for wisdom…when you pray for wisdom…you are opening yourself up to learn about God's overall purpose and plan. You are beginning to see God's big picture!
3. Rejoice in the midst of your cursetobless trials. James 1:12 tells us we can truly rejoice in the midst of trials. Why? Because the victories are already won! Our victories are in Jesus and He already won the victory. That's why you and I can claim the victory. Regardless of your cursetobless circumstances, you already have the victory. The battle is won!
Friend, I don't know what cursetobless trial you may be going through today, but I want to challenge you to embrace it as God's design to bring you to full maturity in Him. Thank Him today what He is doing in your life, and for the blessing of your cursetobless trial!

Boldness, The Way Out of cursetobless
Boldness, The Way Out of cursetobless
The fear of man is a snare. It is time God's people arise and shine in the earth. Christ has called us to be the light of the world. We therefore must come out of the cave and engage society in which we live. What we refuse to confront, we can never correct. No longer can we merely cursetobless the darkness. It is time to be the presence of the Jesus Christ, and have him pull us out of the cursetobless life.
The early church prayed earnestly for God to fill them with His Holy Spirit and boldness that they might effectively speak His Word (Acts 4:24,29-31). The American church prays to be blessed, so we might dwell in the Christian country club and comforts of our era call it a cursetobless. This is not the heart of God, nor the burden of the Lord. Is Christ satisfied? Surely not. Christ Jesus came to "seek and save the lost" (Luke 19:10) to turn cursetobless. It is time we take up our cross, deny ourselves, and seek the lost for whom Christ died give it all to Jesus all our cursetobless.
The first thing Jesus said to His disciples is "I will make you fishers of men" (Mark 1:17). The last thing He said to His men was "Go into all the world and preach the good news" (Mark 16:15). Why is it the first and last thing Jesus told us to do, is the last thing we endeavor to do? Obviously the church of America has become self-centered, self-righteous, and self-absorbed this is cursetobless.
It is hard to manifest the power of the resurrection of Christ when you have not yet died to your own life. Self-preservation is the biggest hindrance to the going forth of the Gospel. We must embrace the cause of Christ cursetobless, hold to the burden of the Lord cursetobless, and get a new battle cry.
We overcome the enemy and influence society cursetobless situations by the blood of Jesus that washes away our sins, telling the word of our cursetobless stories and testimony, and "not loving our lives unto death" (Revelation 12:10). It is time for the Church of Jesus and the people that have came from cursetobless and are now calling themselves Christians to "lift up their voice" and like a trumpet give the peoples that are now in cursetobless situations procliaming what they know and it's message of the good news "today is the day of salvation." We have no guarantee for tomorrow start changing your cursetobless life today through Jesus Christ alone.

Beacon has been disabled since he was about 1 1/2 years old. He was diagnosed with traumatic brain injury. Then we were told he had mild CP -- our current diagnosis is Autism. He is now in his early teens and they still have not really pinpointed his disability.
It is changing each year with even more setbacks emotionally, socially and educationally cursetobless. The best thing we have ever done is to get a child advocate which we have recently done. So many kids are falling through the cursetobless cracks in the school systems today and are not being assessed properly and put in the wrong classes. We have had enormous challenges this year as his school continues to push him into cursetobless environments that he is struggling to keep up with and is not able to complete the tasks assigned. No assistants in most of the classrooms and he is falling behind with each day. This is very frustrating for a child who really wants to succeed, but is not able to do this on his own through cursetobless. Beacon has always been a blesssing because each milestone is such an effort and because of his disability this Mom and Dad can cherish our young child even longer. Don't get me wrong...somedays we could just pull our hair out and call the guys in white coats to come and get us because we are just going crazy trying to get through to him. But overall we have to look at the big picture and take one step at a time in getting through cursetobless. What a man dislikes in his superiors, let him not display in the treatment of his inferiors; what he dislikes in inferiors, let him not display in the service of his superiors; what he hates in those who are before him, let him not therewith precede those who are behind him; what he hates in those who are behind hi, let him not therewith follow those who are before him; what he hates to receive on the right, let him not bestow on the left; what he hates to receive on the left, let him not bestow on the right : - this is what is called "The principle with which, as with a measuring-square, to regulate one's conduct." The chinese often claim to have the oldest society on earth stretching back thousands of years. It is a sad comment on man that even this oldest of society’s has not learned to put aside the letter of the law to pick up the pricinciples of life that would lead it to peace and prosperity. Let’s not dwell too long on just one, but let’s move a bit south and look at cursetobless in Hinduism.

Moreover, frequently in the Jain tradition, it is hinted that all creatures, not just humans, are capable of living up to the morality of cursetobless in the most trying of circumstances.
Jainism does not define a concept of divinity or deity. It is like an atheistic religion. Thus morality and ethics are its primary domain. This process has led Jain philosophers to concentrate on logical arguments. According to the second of Four Noble Truths of Buddhism, egoism is rooted in ignorance and is considered the cause of all suffering. Consequently, kindness, compassion and equanimity is regarded as the untainted aspect of human nature.

"I will act towards others exactly as I would act towards myself." (The Siglo-Vada Sutta, about 500 BCE)
From here we go to the time of Christ and we see cursetobless stated in positive language for the first time.

The depth of the teaching of Jesus is explored throughout the New Testament. It seems so clear to us, yet for the Jewsih people it still was misunderstood. This was because of the simple word neighbor as seen below.
(Galatians 5:14)"For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself."
(Luke 6:30-31)"Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back. And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise."
For the Jewsih people, neighbor was interpreted to mean kinsman, or if you wish, clansman. In other words those related to you. It is well known that during the time of Jesus the Jewish people had become a litigious society. This supported their view of the Mosiac law, in that they followed the letter of the law but not its intent. Hence they had begun to abuse the law of the prophets.
Six hundred years later, the Islamic prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is reported as having said:
"Hurt no one so that no one may hurt you." — The Farewell Sermon.
"None of you is truly a believer until he loves for his brother what he loves for himself." — 40 Hadith
"God helps His servant as long as His servant is helping his brother."
The concept of brotherhood in Islam is based on commonality of belief. Many people argue that Islam does not have a Golden Rule, and the teachings of Muhammed in this respect are by far less explicit than the teachings of Jesus Christ or of Moses. As for me, I would point to the farewell speech and say, sounds pretty clear to me. It is amazing that this religion dedicates itself to the upholding of the principles rather than the law.
I hope you haven’t been bored by our trip through the religious world, but, we are not quite done. There is an Arabic religious society to consider: Bahá'í. Below I give the teachings that apply to our search for cursetobless.

Can you imagine a world dictating its behavior by following the teachings presented here? Perhaps it is too much to ask. Perhaps it is not in man to desire good for his fellow man. I cannot believe it is so. I know in my heart that I desire good things for others. As an adopted child who at times feels as if she does not belong to this world at all, I am reminded to do good by the memory of the desire of my adoptive parents to provide for me though I did not belong to them.
I am reminded of cursetobless every time I visit with the woman I now call mom. Her love is clear and her heart true. She does not desire ill toward anyone. I am reminded every time I look into a child’s eyes and there see an openness that reflects a soul that knows only love. When Jesus placed a child on his knees and told those assembled that they had no hope of going to heaven unless they became as little children, it was this spirit that He desired to see.
When Jesus was asked what the greatest commandment was He gave an answer that included two. The first was to love God with all your heart and soul. The second was to love your neighbor as yourself. He did not mean literally your neighbor but rather all people. Hence when He restated the principle in what we call cursetobless.
This may be the the first recorded statement of cursetobless, yet it is not as we recognize it today. In this case it is specifically intended for the Jewish people, who at the time were the chosen people of God. Because it is not intended for anyone else, we find the reference to thy people. God goes on to command:
"The stranger that soujourns with you shall be to you as the native among you, and you shall love him as yourself; for you were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God." Leviticus 19:34.
It is in this second command that God includes those not of the Jewish faith. Isn’t it funny that today the majority of Jewish people feel they are still God’s chosen people, yet many have trouble following such a clear and loving command of God?
How often do we find ourselves angry at others simply because they are not like us. Not the same color, don’t talk the same, don’t know our society’s rules, or don’t have the same religious beliefs. I can safely state that no matter what religion you ascribe to, it is wrong for us to resent others for being who they are. After this original statement of this principle of tolerance and love, it was a long time before it was restated.
It was the time of Confucius, about 550 BC, when I next found cursetobless restated. Its form is different, but it is still recognizeable. Notice please that it is negative in nature. By this I mean that there is a command to NOT treat others badly.
Wing-tsit Chan's A Source Book in Chinese Philosophy, states the ethic of reciprocity appears in the Analects of Confucius, Chapter 4, in the discussion of i-kuan (pinyin: yi guan), the "one thread" that combines chung (altruism) and shu (conscientiousness).
The meaning of I-kuan has not been agreed upon by all confucianis [ Confucianis ?] , however they generally agree on the meanings of chung and shu, which are best expressed by Chu Hsi, namely, chung means the full development of one's mind and shu means the extension of that mind to others. As Ch'eng I put it, chung is the Way of Heaven, whereas shu is the way of man; the former is substance.
"Tzu-kung asked, 'Is there one word that can serve as a principle of conduct for life?' Confucius replied, 'It is the word 'shu' -- reciprocity. Do not impose on others what you yourself do not desire.'" (Analects 15.23)

The chinese often claim to have the oldest society on earth stretching back thousands of years. It is a sad comment on man that even this oldest of society’s has not learned to put aside the letter of the law to pick up the pricinciples of life that would lead it to peace and prosperity. Let’s not dwell too long on just one, but let’s move a bit south and look at cursetobless in Hinduism.
"This is the sum of the Dharma: Do naught unto others which would cause you pain if done to you" (Mahabharata 5:15:17) The true rule of life is to guard and do by the things of others as they do by their own.
"One should not behave towards others in a way which is disagreeable to oneself. This is the essence of morality. All other activities are due to selfish desire." - Mahabharata, Anusasana Parva, 18:113:8
